TSG June Sneak Peek Blog Hop

There She Goes is releasing two awesome sets this month and today we are having an all-in-one blog hop! If you haven't been to Jessica's blog yet go back there to start the hop. If you leave a comment on each Trendsetters blog and go back to Jessica's blog and link up to Mr. Linky, you will be entered to win one of the new sets!! Two winners people!! :) If you've came from Becky's blog you're in the right place (and if you're lost you can find a complete list of all the Trendsetters).

The first set I am showing off is Rejuvenate... I thought making a little tag to put on your bathroom wall or door would be cute for this set so that's what I did! :) This is also for the Not A Card Button challenge on the SOA site. There is still time to play along, just click HERE to check out all the details! I know you can't tell in the picture but I colored the bubbles with shimmer paint so they really shine in real life.

The next set to be released is Act of Kindness...
Isn't that font yummy?!! And look at those flourishes!! This set is super versatile and SO pretty! :) I thought I would pair it with my favorite dp Pink Flamingo and another SOA challenge: the Little Paper Shop sketch challenge (awesome!!). I did change it a bit and replaced the star with more brads.

I hope you enjoyed my creations! :) Your next stop on the hop is Faith and I'm sure her creations will knock your socks off!!

The release party will be tonight from 6-8 pm Pacific Time on the TSG Forum. I'm not going to be able to make it because as you're reading this I am crazy stamping at the North Texas Shoebox Swap!! :)

Have a blessed Saturday!!

There She Goes Sneak Peek Friday!!!

It's that time again...release time!!! Jessica *never* seems to disappoint and it seems like each month the sets get better and better!! This month's TSG release challenge is a color challenge: black, white, and one other color. You can use different hues of the same color but NO other colors.... This is a new set called Act of Kindness and is perfect for all your flourish lovers like myself. :) I decided my one color would be Baja Breeze (I am going to miss this color *so* much!) and thought this set fit perfect with my Walk in the Park dsp. Don't you just love that sentiment? I am in LOVE with this set and I'm sure you will too. This awesome sketch is another Stampin' Out Alzheimer's challenge from Verve Stamps. There's still time to be apart of this amazing event. Check out the SOA website HERE.

We would LOVE for you to play along with our release challenge! Just make a card using the color combo and upload it to Mr. Linky on THIS post. You have today and tomorrow to get entered and Jessica will announce a winner on Monday and the winner will get their choice of one of the new sets!! :) Good luck!!

Don't forget to hop over to the TSG forum tonight for the Friday Night Chat!! I am gearing up for the North Texas Shoebox Swap but I'm going to try to pop in for a bit. :)

Have a blessed Friday!

SOA Pretties Thursday

Have you guys been playing along with the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's challenges this week? They are all awesome and for such a wonderful cause! I thought I would combine a SOA challenge with an SCS challenge and Prettie it up... This is for the Clear & Simple Stamps: A Stitch in Time challenge which was to use stitching on your card. They also added that you could use their "event" paper for the challenge as well so I did. I love the different shades of purple! This sketch is this week's sketch challenge on SCS which is another fun one! I thought Trim the Tree Sophia would be perfect with this dp. I added this big fluffy ribbon to hide the Christmas ball that she is holding in her hand! LOL

If you haven't checked out the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's site there is still time! For a $5.00 donation you are into the site and helping out a wonderful cause. There is a counter on my right toolbar where you can donate.

Pretties News: On Monday, June 1st Paper Pretties will be having their monthly Stampin In Your Jammies party!! The party starts at 8pm EST and will last until 10pm. We will be issuing only one challenge, so be sure to come and play along!! Besides the challenge, chatter, and all around fun, we will also be releasing Make a Splash Sophia and introducing our new Stamp Of The Month. Sneak peeks start on Saturday May 30th!! Hope to see you there!!

Have a blessed Thursday!!

Pretties Wednesday

Two weeks ago Jacquie challenged the Pretties Girls to create a white on white card. I also wanted to play along with the SOA Mojo Sketch challenge (which is awesome!!!)...I have done white on white cards before but I usually use a sentiment so doing an image was tough for me. I decided to cheat a little and add a light gray to the color scheme and colored my Prettie Ballerina with different shades of cool gray Copics. Please don't hurt me Jacquie if I didn't do this right! LOL

Be sure to check out the rest of the Pretties Girls and their {white} creations...

Comptuer Issues...Oh Joy!

I have no idea what the deal is but I'm having some serious Internet issues. It won't let me get onto a lot of blogs, the challenges on the SOA website, and blogger! Grrr...

Needless to say, my Twinkling Tuesday post will be postponed until I figure out what to do. Thank you for your understanding and I hope you all had a fantastic Memorial Day!!

SOA PMS Monday

I know many of you have heard about what starts today...the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's event! Alzheimer's is very close to my heart. Todd's grandparents both passed away suffering from dementia and it is the hardest thing to see a loved one go through this.

Here is a little blurb that I have about the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's event (taken from Ceal Pritchett's blog)...

Jen Tapler, from Jen Tapler Designs & Susanna Boyd, from Paper Craft Planet & Card of the Week are hosting a 7 day stamping and scrapbooking event starting May 25th to help raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's Disease. The site, Stampin' Out Alzheimer's, will feature challenges, contests, classes and more - with prizes donated from over 40 generous sponsors.

For a very small donation of $5, you can join this important cause. At the end of this event, 100% of the funds raised will be donated directly to the Alzheimer's Association to help with their efforts to provide and enhance care and support for all those affected by this heartbreaking disease.

Paper Makeup is one of the sponsor's of this awesome event and our challenge is to use "any winged thing" on your card. I know that Paper Makeup is known for our fairies and that is why I wanted to go a different direction. I also wanted to participate in this week's Featured Stamper challenge since it's my girl Mercy so I chose THIS card which fit perfect with my Buggy Sayings set...
I kept the layout, papers, colors, and piercing but changed the butterfly image, sentiment, the cord color on the ribbon, and how the brads were done. I think this butterfly is awesome. I love making it look like it's flying.

Of course we want everyone to participate in the Alzheimer's event so this challenge doubles as this week's Paper Makeup Monday challenge. No worries about linking to the PMS blog, just the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's site.

Have a blessed Monday!!

Scrappin' Saturday

Hi peeps! Sorry I didn't sign back on yesterday but my back was hurting pretty bad so I felt like I was moving in slow motion yesterday and I still have quite a bit of stuff to get done. I am feeling better though so thank you all for your concerns AND I am almost 100% done!!! Woot!!

I did get my desk all set up AND created my first creation on my new desk... What do you think about this color combo? Isn't it yummy?!! It is this week's There She Goes challenge which you can check out on the TSG forum! These are my nephews Jaden and Peyton. They are just random pics that I had of them from a few years ago that I just love. I call my boys "the boys" so I call my nephews "the nephews". LOL This awesome sketch I found in the latest SU Stampin' Success magazine. You guys know how much I love my squares so this sketch was perfect for me! :)

Did you guys know that There She Goes has started a weekly challenge AND weekly chat on Friday's? The Friday chats go on all day on the TSG forum and last night was a fun one! We got on some pretty interesting topics! LOL I hope you guys can join us next week AND this week with the color challenge!

Paper Makeup Friday

This is a super quick post today. I am t-totally exhausted from working on my house and the kicker is I hurt my back pretty bad moving furniture. Ugh!! The good news is that the house is getting better so my goal of finishing this weekend is definitely attainable.

Here is the card that I made for this week's Technique Lovers's Challenge on SCS. I'll post more details later. Enjoy!!

A *Late* Pretties Thursday

I am *so* sorry that I am late with this week's Pretties Thursday but there is a good reason....my house was hit by a tornado... LOL OK, not by a *real* tornado but it sure looks like it has. Long story short, I got my own stamping desk yesterday but our house is very small and this desk is very BIG so I have a LOT of work to do this weekend to get my house back!

I was SO excited when I saw that this week's Featured Stamper was none other than my Belli teammate Joan Ervin!! I can't belive that Joan hasn't been featured yet-she is *amazing*!!! I have about ten cards I would love to CASE but I finally settled on THIS one to Prettie up... Sorry about the pic. All of my stamping stuff is in boxes right now as we rearrange everything. :( I choose to keep the same colors and layout of the card but changed the ribbon, the dp (even though it is from the same Jolie Chocolat line), the image, the Nestie in the middle, and I added some jewels to two corners. Joan, I hope I made you proud! :)

Have a blessed Thursday-I am off to clean!!

A Colorful Pretties Wednesday

Two week's ago Jodi challenged the Pretties Girls with a color combo: Apricot Appeal, Baja Breeze, and Pacific Point. I struggled so much with this card and finally ended up browsing the Pretties galleries and found THIS gorgeous creations by my girl Jessie and I shamelessly CASED it... I did change the colors (of course) changed the sentiment, and added some extra paper piecing and piercing. So, thanks Jessie for awakening my mojo! LOL Don't you just love this month's Stamp of the Month? I think Sophia gets cuter and cuter every month! :)

Happy Day! It's Twinkling Tuesday!!

This week's Twinkling Tuesday is another guest designer. Jack, Madelynn's brother, is stepping in this week with a fab-u sketch... I love this sketch! Infinite possibilities....
I *love* this tree from the Happy Day set from There She Goes. I love those big leaves! I wanted to keep this card simple so I jazzed it up with some dp from my Two Scoops pack, a little taffeta ribbon, and my jumbo silver brads. The card looked a little flat so I cut out a few of the leaves and popped them up on dimensionals to give it depth.
Be sure to stop by the Twinkling Tuesday blog and check out the rest of the Twinkle Team:

We would love for you guys to play along with us this week. When you upload to SCS/PCP please use keyword MTTSC23 so we can see your creations!

PMS Monday Challenge Summer Hues

The weekend was WAY too short! OMG! I got {nothing} done! Usually weekends are my time to get caught up on things that I didn't have time to do during the week and hopefully get a head start on the next week but this weekend left me even further behind. :(

Needless to say, this week's PMS Monday challenge sample is going to be late but I still want to give the challenge to you guys so you all can play along (remember you do NOT have to use Paper Makeup stamps but if you've got them why not show them off! *wink*)

This week's challenge comes from Lisa McKinney and it is this wonderful color challenge: black and/or white and these two hues... Yummy!! I should have a card for you later this afternoon (sooner if I can't sleep-Bella is {BAD} about crawling all over us during the night! LOL) but there are some {awesome} design team samples on the PMS blog so check those out while you wait on me! LOL

Be back soon!!

Hey guys! I know I'm not one to post on Sundays but I felt bad for leaving you guys hanging a few days so I thought I would give you guys a little eye candy... I have always wanted to try the Tea Bag Holder technique and thought why not today?! :) I did several challenges with this holder:

I haven't decorated the inside yet because I'm waiting to see who I'm going to give this to! Hahaha!! :) I think I'm going to skip this week's Scrappin' page since I'm already behind and the week hasn't even started yet! LOL

Scrappin' Saturday Postponed...

....because I've been a little busy with a new little visitor.... Say hello to Bella (yes, that's what Eric wanted to name her! LOL). We just found her this morning stuck in a tree in our backyard. As soon as I rescued her she started purring and loving on me and the boys. We're not supposed to have pets but how can you say no to this little sweetie...
OK, so maybe she looks mad in this picture but she's really a sweetheart! Hahaha!!! Needless to say, I've been following her around the house, making sure the boys don't freak her out too much, and not stamping! LOL I am working on something right now and hope to have it posted later but isn't it great when life throws you a sweet little surprise?
I am off to buy some kitty food and a litter box! :)

Surfin' Pretties Thursday

My birthday was pretty slim as far as presents were concerned. I didn't get too much but what I did get meant the world to me. One of my best friends Juanita called me and told me she was coming by on my birthday with a card she made me and some images of a Paper Pretties stamp that she won at a Stampin' In Your Jammies party a few month's ago. Sweet! New images!! So, she hands me the card and it felt thick but I figured she stamped several images. I open the card and see this stamp sitting there... I have been in LOVE with this image for a long time and am STOKED that I am now the proud owner of Surf's Up!! This color combo is this week's color challenge on SCS and man does Emily pick out some strange combos! LOL Can you believe this is the FIRST card that I've ever done using Only Orange and I've been stamping for almost TWO years! No lie! LOL This wonderful sketch is this week's Pretties challenge. I just love Danielle's sketches! :) I would love it if you guys played along this week. Head to the Pretties forum for all the details!

Rest In Peace, Kayleigh

As many of you know, Paper Makeup has a special stamp that all proceeds go to a special little girl. I am sad to say that Kayleigh, this precious little girl, has gone to be with the Lord. You can read about her amazing life HERE but I warn you-have tissues close by.

There is going to be a memorial service this coming Saturday and Katie is going and I wanted to send a special card to the Freeman family.... I used today's sketch challenge on SCS and this week's Color Throwdown challenge and I think it turned out perfect. I did not glitz it up at all and kept it very simple. I hope the Freeman family knows how much Kayleigh's life touched my life. Ever since I read their goodbye to her on their blog I have been hugging my boys tighter and realizing that they are not with me for long so I need to enjoy all the time I can with them.

If you would like to mail a card to Katie or the Freeman family please email Katie for the information.

Have a blessed Wednesday!

An Inspirational Pretties Wednesday

Two weeks ago Jackie challenged all the Pretties Girls to pick your favorite color and choose one shade lighter and one shade darker and that's your color combo. Well, Real Red is my favorite color right now so I went lighter with Riding Hood Red and darker with Bravo Burgundy... My Bella Rose dsp showed off perfectly with the burgundy! I used three different patterns from the collection and even paper pieced her dress with some of the dp. This fab sketch is this week's Inspirational Sketch Challenge! LOVE it!

A Colorful Creative Belli Challenge

This week must be all about color challenges! LOL How about a nice, spring color combo from the Creative Belli team? I don't know why but when you put Certainly Celery in a color combo it *always* throws me off! I don't get it! I really wanted to use my Let's Get Together set from There She Goes and even though this color combo definitely doesn't scream coffee I think it works....
This fun sketch comes from a new challenge blog called Designers Showcase on the Scrap 'n Stamp Canada website. I thought this sketch fit perfect with this image so I thought I'd give it a try! I can't get enough of my Pink Flamingo dsp can ya tell? :)

PMS Monday Challenge: Let It Sparkle!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Paper Makeup Monday challenge! This week's design team challenger is Lisa K whose challenge is to use anything that sparkles: bling, stickles, glitter...the sky is the limit... I know what you're thinking. Where the heck is her sparkle?! Well, I actually made this card for the PMS Release Party sketch challenge and since I was partying all weekend because of my birthday I ran out of time so I decided to bling this card up as much as I could which meant using my Spica glitter pen on the windows and on the sentiment but it would NOT photograph! LOL So, you're going to have to take my word for it. *wink*

I LOVE this cottage! This is one of the new stamps released by Paper Makeup by designer Lindsay Spencer. I just love the look of it. It makes me think of Goldie Locks and the Three Bears! LOL I also love this sentiment...so true...so true...

Be sure to check out the PMS blog for all the design team creations this week and to link up your creation! When you upload to SCS/PCP please use keyword PMSMC11 so we can all see your creations!

Scrappin' Saturday

Happy Saturday! I am back with another addition of Scrappin' Saturday. Since I have a gazillion wedding pictures that are begging to be scrapped you might be seeing these pics for awhile. LOL I'm going to try to break up the monotony and throw in some more pages so no worries... I found this awesome wedding dp at Hobby Lobby when they were having a paper sale and knew I wanted to make a "The Bride" page of myself. There were very few pics taken of just me (go figure!) so I thought I would make a page of just me. I wanted to keep it simple and went totally girly girl by pairing my dp with Pixie Pink. :)

Since all the pics are hiding the dp (my wedding album is 8x8) I thought it would be cool to print out my journaling onto a piece of acetate. It looks fantastic in the pic but when I put it in the album it smeared!! Argh! I can't remember the journaling either. *sniffle*

I hope you enjoyed today's addition of Scrappin' Saturday and be sure to come back tomorrow for a special CHRISTI'S BIRTHDAY/MOTHER'S DAY BLOG CANDY!!!!

Have a blessed Saturday!

Hi peeps! I am SO sorry this post is getting up late. It was a *crazy* night last night but I am here now and showing off this month's fabulous Stamp of the Month from Paper Pretties... Isn't that face the sweetest?!! This is June's Stamp of the Month called Give Thanks. You can find out how to get your hands on this little sweetie before the public HERE. I used the sketch from this month's Stampin in your Jammies party challenge and today's awesome Mystery Color Combo challenge from Danielle. You are are to use: Night of Navy, Soft Sky, Apricot Appeal, and one mystery color. I LOVED this color combo and didn't want to add too much so my mystery color is white. Real original, eh? LOL

I would love for you guys to play along with either of these challenges! You can find the sketch in the May Stampin' in your Jammies party on the Pretties forum and the Mystery Color Challenge HERE. If you get your color challenge cards uploaded by Wednesday, May 13th you'll be entered to win a $5.00 coupon to the Paper Pretties boutique! Woot! Happy Stamping!!

PMS Blog Hop!

Woohoo!! Today is the day! Tonight is the Paper Makeup release party and to celebrate we are having a release party blog hop! If you haven't been to the PMS blog yet head there first and then hop right back to me! LOL

To make this blog interesting each design team member will have a letter. When you get to the end the letters should spell out a phrase that ends this sentence, "The team at Paper Makeup Stamps want you to ________________" My letter is the first letter of the phrase which is H. When you get to the end of the hop and have the phrase email Katie for your chance to win the entire release!!!

Ready to see another sneak peek from one of Paper Makeup's newest designers??? Who doesn't love Dustin Pike!! And now his amazing stamps will be rubberized!! Woot! I thought this image would fit perfect with the Diamond Fold Card technique. If you haven't tried this fold out you SO should! It is so much fun!!
Isn't it fabulous?! Sorry for the eh picture. For some reason my camera was not liking my card at all! I know you're wondering why I put the sentiment that I put on here right? Well, I thought it would be sweet if all the grand kids gave my mom a card for Mother's Day and since they are all boys I thought this would be perfect. Now I'm hoping she doesn't see this before then (oops! LOL).
Your next stop on the PMS blog hop is Dawn K! Have fun on the hop and I hope to see you all at the PMS release party tonight on the NEW Paper Makeup forum from 8-10pm CST!! I will be issuing challenges and of course there will be games and tons of chatter. Hope to "see" you there!!

Have a blessed Thursday!!

P.S.-Be sure to check out my Pretties Thursday on Friday post tomorrow!! :)

A Prettie Halloween In May

Yes, you read that right! One of the challenges at the Stampin' in your Jammies party was a color combo: Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, and Kraft. This color combo immediately made me think of Halloween and two weeks ago Jodi challenged the team to Make It New: use a Pretties stamp that hasn't seen ink in awhile. Well, my little pumpkin definitely hasn't seen ink since last October! *wink* I guess you could say I'm getting a head start on the holidays! LOL This fabulous sketch is last week's Three Clovers sketch challenge. I cannot for the life of me think of the tango dsp in the back but doesn't it fit perfect?! This will be going to one of my October babies!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Pretties Girls and their forgotten Pretties...

Twinkling Tuesday

Happy Tuesday and welcome to another Twinkling Tuesday! I am this week's featured Twinklett and I am happy to show off this week's sketch... Before you see my creation I just want to warn you that I did flip the sketch. :) Why did I flip the sketch? Because I wanted to use this new stamp from There She Goes...
Isn't this yummy? This is a combination of several challenges...
  • Jessica challenged us at the There She Goes release party to use two or more TSG stamps
(images) in your creations and a bonus if you did two or more. The girl is from She's A Lady, the cupcake is from Tweeterpated, and the sentiment is from Holidays Galore. Bonus!!
  • 365 Cards challenge for today was to make a Mother's Day card which is to make a card to honor a woman in your life. This card is going to my grandmother who's birthday is Saturday and was actually born on Mother's Day (like me!)
  • Today's Res-Q Challenge which was to use "marbling" and one of the definitions included certain paper from Basic Gray so I used some Two Scoops dp for my background and behind my main image. Hope this isn't cheating! LOL

I hope you guys will play along with this week's Twinking sketch and when you do be sure to link up to the Twinkling Tuesday blog as well as SCS/PCP (keyword: MTTSC21) so we can see your creations.

Have a blessed Tuesday!!

Pretties Monday

I know what you're thinking...Pretties on a Monday? Well, I had to show off the card that I made for the Prettie Mama herself for her birthday last Friday... The first challenge at the Stampin' in your Jammies party on Friday was to make Christie a birthday card and I wanted something bright and fun for my girl and what better set to use than Hola Chica! Last week's Friday Sketchers challenge was such a fun one and when I paired it with last week's No Time to Stamp challenge which was to use Yellow it just all came together! Christie, I love ya girl and I hope you like your card! :)

Paper Makeup Saturday

Happy National Scrapbook Day!! I wish I had a scrapbook page to share with you today but last night I was kidnapped by three women who needed help with wedding invitations thus making me miss the end of the Pretties Stampin' in your Jammies party *sniffle* AND not giving me any time to make a scrapbook page for today. Never fear, I do have a page in the works and you just might get a special Sunday post to make up for no Scrappin' Saturday!

I'm sure you've all heard about the wonderful charity Paper Makeup has adopted and if you don't you can read all about it HERE. The charity stamp is called A Fairy for Kayleigh and I just had to show it off... Isn't it stunning? After you read the story about Kayleigh you really appreciate this image even more. I chose the sentiment "All things are possible" because Kayleigh has deified all odds and continues to amaze her family and the many people that have come to know her through her blog.

This awesome sketch is Taylor's Cupcake challenge for this week and this gorgeous color combo comes from this week's Raspberry Suite color combo. I have a very special friend that is trying to adopt a baby and as soon as she gets her baby this little sweetie is going to her. :)

Since today is National Scrapbook Day Paper Makeup is celebrating with a S-A-L-E! How about 10% off all orders when you use coupon code NSD09. How cool is that!

AND my best friend and fellow PMSer Meli Mitchell is having some yummy birthday PMS blog candy on her blog. You can find all the details HERE.

I *might* be back with a scrapbook page! :) Have a blessed Saturday!!!
